When people think of Disney, usually families, young kids, princesses, and mouse ears come to mind, right? While this may sound suprising, Disney is also fun for teenage boys too; and my own Disney Bro can vouch for this as he's a big Disney fan!

I recently sat down with him to find out what Disney souvenirs and shopping spots teen boys like and this is what we both came up with.

1. Team Mickey's Merchandise-Team Mickey is a store, located at Downtown Disney, that sells a variety of ESPN products, Disney sports themed apparel and accessories, wooden baseball bats, and more!

2. Tatooine Traders-There are very few teen boys in the United States that don't appreciate Star Wars; and this store at Hollywood Studios sells some really cool Star Wars products.

3. Crazy Hats-For teen guys with a sense of humor, some of the crazy Disney hats are big hits.

4. Inside Track-This shop, found at the exit of Epcot's Test Track, offers car themed merchandise, hats, and tees which is great for car enthusiasts.

5. Adventure Outpost-Adventurous teens who are fans of Indiana Jones can find some great Indy souvenirs at this shop at Hollywood Studios.

6. Sid Cahuenga's-For film enthusiasts, this is the place! Located near the entrance of Hollywood Studios, this beachy shack houses movie posters, prints, and autographed pictures.

7. Pins-My Disney Bro likes to collect things; and purchasing and trading Disney pins is one of his favorite activities at Disney. He likes finding rare, collectible, and valuable pins that could be worth something in the future; and for other teens who like to collect, Disney pins could be great souvenirs.

When people think of Walt Disney World, most of the time castles and Disney princesses come to mind. This is appealing of course for adults who have kids and grandkids, and even teenage girls can still get into the castles and princesses, but what about teenage boys?

We have a macho fifteen year old boy in our home who enjoys going to Disney just as much as he did when he was little; and in order to dispel the myths of Disney having nothing to offer him or his friends, we asked him what he likes about Disney and his favorite things to see and do.

Our Disney Teen says that everything at Disney is an experience and puts you into another world. While other theme parks in the United States have themed rides, Disney goes the extra mile in ways that others don't. He also says he likes the upbeat atmosphere at Disney, it's all just pure fun.

While some may believe Disney only offers kiddie rides like "it's a small world" or Dumbo, our Disney Teen begs to differ. Disney offers a variety of extreme rides and shows to enjoy.

If your teen likes roller coasters, Disney offers Rock n' Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Our Disney Teen enjoys Rock n' Roller Coaster, a dark, indoor coaster where you wait in line at a fake recording studio and parking garage. You then board your ride vehicle, a stretch limo equipped with high tech speakers that blast Aerosmith tunes during your ride! Expedition Everest is another one of his favorites. After touring an expedition base that has been researching the mythical Yeti of the Forbidden Mountain, you go by train into the mountain for expedition yourself! On this attraction, you are sent rocketing inside and out of the mountain at high speeds, both forwards and backwards! Keep your eyes open for the Yeti!

Our Disney Teen also enjoys a variety of shows and entertainment that Disney has to offer. The two different stunt shows at Hollywood Studios are a big hit as he gets to see Indiana Jones perform action packed stunts at Indian Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular; and Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show offers cool car chases and motocycle stunts!

Other great rides that our Disney Teen, and other teens, would enjoy are Star Tours, a thrilling, Star Wars themed attraction; and Test Track, a ride that lets you see what tests cars go through before they are put on the market. At this attraction, you wait in what looks to be a massive automotive garage before boardng your car which is taken through a series of tests. The grand finale is a lap around the building at 65 mph!

Our Disney Teen also enjoys more mild attractions that are not only appealing to teen boys, but also to the rest of the family. For example, he likes  Pirates of the Caribbean with appearances by Captain Jack Sparrow and competing with us for the highest score at Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and Toy Story Midway Mania. Soarin' is also a favorite as he gets to experience what its like to fly. Splash Mountain, and its daring drop, is also at the top of his list!

Beyond the attractions, there are other things our Disney Teen enjoys. For example, World Showcase at Epcot is always a must-see. Our Disney Teen enjoys seeing the different products, exhibits, and architecture of nations around the world. This is a great place for teens to pick up cool souvenirs, as soccer and adidas products can be found here, along with other cool stuff you can't find anywhere else. Arcades are also big hits with teens; and every Disney resort has one! The best one we have found is at Pop Century, it's huge!

We at A Glass Slipper Vacation are big fans of Disney Dining, and our Disney Teen let us know that his favorite restaurants are Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, where you sit in old fashioned cars and watch clips of old sci-fi films; and Mama Melroses, because the pizza and Italian food here is fantastic. Other places teen boys might enjoy would be the ESPN Club on the Boardwalk. The TVs in the bathrooms are big hits! Casey's on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom has an old fashioned baseball theme and plays vintage Disney sports cartoons. You can eat at a nearby table or on the bleachers!

Finally, our Disney Teen shared his favorite resorts at Walt Disney World. His all-time favorite is Wilderness Lodge, a massive, rustic resort with a Northwest Wilderness theme. He also enjoys staying at Pop Century, especially if we're on a budget. The massive pop culture icons and the pools shaped like bowling pins and computers are cool for teens and adults alike. Teens may also enjoy All-Star Sports, a fun resort that's all about sports!

This post shows that Disney World has something for everyone, even teen boys. This is why we enjoy it so much, because all of us can have fun together!
