A common question among Disney guests is what to pack when they visit the parks, or what bag to use. After all, when you spend hours walking from one ride to the other in the Florida humidity, what you're carrying around can feel twice as heavy and can be a big pain! But, on the other hand, if you plan being on the parks all day, you don't want to be caught without you need! So what to do?

Well, we think what you carry with you to the parks depends on the person and the family. For example, if you are bringing toddlers to the park, you're obviously going to need much more than if you visiting the parks with your teen.

So today, we decided to help you out with your park packing decisions by listing what we always bring to the parks. We hope it helps!

With Teens/Adults:

1. Sunglasses-A Must! You don't want to be squinting all day and miss all of the amazing details.

2. Wallet-Be sure to use a secure wallet, so you don't have to be concerned about your stuff sliding out.

3. Ziplock Bags-If it rains, or you ride a water attraction, it's always wise to put your valuables in a ziplock bag so you don't have to be concerned about water damage.

4. Cell Phone-No need to explain this, is there?

5. Light Jacket-Believe it or not, it can get chilly at WDW, especially if you're not visiting during the summer; and even if you are, the intense A/C can get you pretty chilled, especially if you're damp from a drop down Splash Mountain.

6. Camera-For all of those magical moments!

7. Rain Poncho-Even if you don't mind getting wet, you will be glad you brought this. If it's a rainy day, damp clothes take a long time to dry and you will freeze in the stores, restaurants, and on the buses! Also, if you do care about getting wet, a rain poncho can enable you to ride the rides you want and save your hair from looking scary the rest of the day.

8. Pins-We are big pin traders, but we have learned through past trips to only bring the pins we are willing to trade and to leave the valuables or favorites back at the resort. This way you don't run the risk of losing them and it frees up extra space and weight.

With Kids:

1. All of the Above-When we visit WDW, we consider the items on the list above to be necessities; and we always strive to pack only necessities when we are without kids. However, if we do have kids with us, we also include the following items:

2. Snacks-Unless you want to be stopping a snack cart, and dishing out a lot of cash, every few hours on your trip, we suggest bringing some baggies of snacks with you. They're especially great for when you're waiting in line!

3. Water-You and the kids are definitely going to get thirsty. A lot. Again, if you don't want to be buying drinks every few minutes, we suggest bringing your own bottles of water. Many Disney Rookies bring the Disney free refill mugs to the parks, but they soon discover that they spill easily and are a pain to lug around. So we say save them for time at the resorts and bring water, don't risk spilling anything sticky in your bag or in the stroller.

4. Change of Clothes-Did the kids spill something? Did they get sick? Play it safe and bring a change of clothes that are light and can be easily carried in your bag. You will definitely appreciate this if something were to happen.

5. Kid Souvenir Fund-Want a way to stop the kids from begging for a souvenir or a new Disney pin? Set them aside an amount of money, keep it in a special envelope or container, and only let them spend that amount. Showing them how much they have, how much they use, and how much they have left will not only help you, but can teach them early the value of a dollar.

6. Suntan Lotion-A sunburn is almost inevitable at WDW, particularly if you are visiting during the summer. While some adults don't mind this, it can really have a negative effect on kids, especially when they're little. So be sure to generously apply suntan lotion throughout the day to keep them from burning.

7. Baby Wipes-You may not always be near a bathroom, so keep some wipes in your park bag for sticky hands, messes, and accidents! You will be happy you did!

8. Other Necessities: If your kids aren't potty trained, or they're babies, you are obviously going to need more stuff such as bottles, diapers, formual, and etc. Be sure to plan for these items, but we suggest you still try to pack as light as you can for more pleasurable trip. Also, taking breaks, and even going back to your resort during the heat of the day, can help you to pack light since you know you will be heading back to your room to refuel.

So what do you pack in your park bag? What are some of your necessities? Share with us!

Packing is an important element to a stress-free vacation, especially when traveling with kids. Everyone knows that it's definitely not fun or magical to discover you didn't pack enough socks, forgot your toothbrush, your child's favorite toy, or your jacket during a cold snap.

However, on the other hand, it's not fun or magical to have to sit on your suitcase for it to close, hoping that your bag doesn't exceed the weight requirements, or realizing that you packed way more than you need.

Therefore, today, we have decided to inform you what you don't have to pack when visiting Walt Disney World!

1. Soap-Disney Resorts provide soap and small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, but with a Disney twist! These items are so cute that many guests take them home to use. Unless you are particular about your hygiene products, there is no need to pack these cumbersome items.

2. Towels-Like most resorts, towels are provided and you can request more if necessary. Take those towels down to your resort pool or use those provided near the pool. You can also save some space in your beach bag by renting a few at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. After all, beach towels take up a lot of space in your luggage so use what Disney has provided!

3. Hair Dryer-Each Disney resort room provides a hair dryer for guests to use so no need to bring your own, unless, of course, you have several women in your family!

4. Pool Toys-Disney does not allow pool toys such as pool noodles, inflatables, beach balls, etc. While this is disappointing to some younger guests, it's best to know beforehand as these items can take up a great deal of space!

5. Band-Aids, Aspirin, etc.-Unless you normally keep these items in your purse or bag, know that Disney Resort gift shops do offer these items if the opportunity should arise.

6. Iron & Ironing Board-Your Disney Resort room includes an iron and ironing board, so no need to pack an iron!

7. Dress Clothes-Unless you're visiting Walt Disney World to attend a formal event, or you plan on dining at one of Disney's signature restaurants, leave the dresses, blouses, ties, and slacks at home. Most guests at Disney World dress casually, even for dinner reservations, so be comfortable and leave the luggage space free for souvenirs instead of those uncomfortable heels.

8. Excessive Winter/Summer Apparel-If you visit in the summer, we recommend packing mostly cool, comfy, summer apparel. One jacket or a pair of long pants or two will suffice due to the sweltering temperatures. After all, you know those sweat shirts will just sit in your suitcase the whole trip. Also, on the other hand, most people don't know that it can really get cold in Orlando during the winter. So we recommending packing a few warm weather items for a warm day, but mostly stick to pants, jackets, hoodies, and even a coat.

When planning for your winter vacation to Disney, you are sure to ask yourself, "What should I pack?" Many Disney guests struggle with packing this time of year because many don't realize that it actually can get cold! Packing actually plays a big role in being able to fully enjoy your trip because when you have all you need, your trip will be much more comfortable and you will be more at ease.  After all, no one likes realizing that they need something when they are far from home. In this post, we will show you what to pack and how to pack during this chilly time of year.

What to Pack:
Jeans:
This clothing item is ideal for whatever weather or temperature you may be experiencing. If you are always warm, then bring a few pairs of shorts; but we suggest relying upon jeans and saving the shorts for spri

T-Shirts: A typical clothing staple which will work with your wardrobe no matter what its like outside. You and the kids will be happier in comfortable clothes while running through the parks too.

Hoodies: We definitely recommend packing a hoodie or two, which are ideal for chilly nights at the Magic Kingdom that aren't quite cold enough for q coat. They are also comfortable and ideal for layering!

Thick Socks: As we've said, it can get chilly at WDW during the winter, especially at night. Even if you're wearing sneakers, wear thick socks to keep your feet warm.

Comfy Shoes: Regardless of what time of year it is, you MUST have comfortable shoes when you are Walt Disney World as you will be walking A LOT! So forget those stylish boots and flats, unless you are just resort hopping or going to the lobby for dinner.

Sunglasses: This is another WDW staple! You MUST have a good pair of sunglasses or you may find yourself squinting a lot and missing some of the those magical details!

Hats: At night, or if it happens to be cold, you want to bring a warm hat to cover your ears. (and no, I don't mean "Mickey" ears!)

Gloves: If it is unusually chilly, or if you are planning on spending time at the parks at night, you may want to throw in a pair of gloves, especially if you are going to ride some outdoor rides!

Long Sleeve Tees: Ideal for layering and or just for cool temperatures themselves, long sleeve tees are a wise choice.

Coat: I know you may be suprised by this, but the temperatures can actually fall to the thirties from time to time. It may be wise to come prepared because, after all, no one wants to be miserably cold and uncomfortable at Disney World!

Rain Ponchos: It's always a good idea, and a good money saver, to purchase rain ponchos before your trip. Disney's are higher priced; and during this chilly time of year, walking around in wet clothes is NOT fun.

How to Pack:
1. Roll your clothes. It prevents wrinkles and creates more space.
2. Put your heaviest clothes, like jeans and jackets and heavier shoes, in the suitcase first with your lightest clothes in last.
3. Pack your personal items in the front compartments of your suitcase if possible, so they are easily removed if your bag is checked at the airport; and if you are driving, you will have easy access to them and you won't have to worry about leaks.
4. Pack your personal items in plastic bags to prevent leaks.
5. To save some space in your suitcase, pack all your socks in your winter boots.
6. Try to leave extra room in your suitcase for souvenirs.
7. Keep your valuables, money, and your tickets and reservations in your carry-on in a well protected place.
8. Plan to layer! Disney World can be warm during the day and cold at night, so plan to layer your outfits. You can also save some suitcase space by layering your travel clothes with clothing items you want to take on your trip.

When planning for your summer vacation to Disney, you are sure to ask yourself, "What should I pack?" Packing actually plays a big role in being able to fully enjoy your trip because when you have all you need, your trip will be much more comfortable and you will be more at ease.  After all, no one likes realizing that they need something when they are far from home. In this post, we will show you what to pack and how to pack during the intense summer heat.

What to Pack:
Shorts
: Pack neutral colored shorts that go with anything, like denim, khaki, white, or black. Also bring shorts made of water proof material so that you will dry quickly after riding Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids. This will keep you comfortable when walking around the parks.
Tanks: Tanks help keep you cool and dry quickly.
Tees: Disney is about having a good time so be comfortable and cool! If you want to wear a Disney themed tee on your trip, because pretty much everyone else is, buy them beforehand. Disney tees are expensive at WDW and you can get pretty much the same thing at Wal-Mart, Old Navy, and almost any other store that sells clothing apparel.
Pants: While it is very hot during the summer, pack a pair of jeans or khakis for when you hit the parks at night or in case of a cool down.
Jacket: In case of a sudden temperature drop or rainy weather, a jacket is a great thing to have handy instead of paying an outrageous price for one at a Disney gift shop. It's a good idea to stick one in your park bag too, just in case.
Shoes: We recommend packing two pairs of comfy, broken-in shoes. You will thank us later. Two pairs on hand helps if one pair gets wet. Also pack a pair of nice flip flops or flats that can be worn when walking to the pool or to a nice dinner at Epcot or the resorts. Finally, pack a pair of watershoes. The pavement around the pools and especially at the waterparks can be blistering hot.
Swimsuit:    A MUST at Disney because of their great resort pools and two water parks.
Personal Care Items:    Disney provides soap, shampoo, conditioner, a hair dryer, and towels. However, if you prefer using your own, be sure to bring them along with your other necessities. We also recommend packing two beach towels as you are not allowed to remove your towels from your room. Your own towels especially come in handy if you're going to the waterparks.
Detergent and Fabric Softener:    Disney does sell these items, but they are very expensive. We recommend bringing your own. See our page on packing for more tips on laundry.
Rain Ponchos:    These are a great way to keep you and your family dry so Florida showers don't dictate your vacation. If you are fashion conscious, don't worry because everyone at Disney will be wearing one too. Be sure to purchase them before your trip to save money because those at Disney can be expensive.
Sunscreen:    If you are in Florida during the summer, this is explanatory as well as necessary.
A Hat:    This will come in handy during a bright afternoon or if Rock n' Roller Coaster has given you a bad hair day.
Extra Bag: Pack one for any souvenirs that might not fit.
Sunglasses: This is a MUST. Disney is often very bright and sunny and you will want to be able to see.

5. Pack any flip flops or sandals on the top of your clothes or in any spare compartment.
6. Try to leave extra room in your suitcase for souvenirs.
7. Keep your valuables, money, and your tickets and reservations in your carry-on in a well protected place.
