Unlike the rowdy Whispering Canyon, Artist Point is a refined, quiet, and somewhat modern dining location that captures the tranquility and the elegance of the Pacific Northwest.
While my family and I are big fans of Wilderness Lodge, this restaurant's decor, setting, and the offered views were only satisfactory to our taste; but the food and terrific service quickly made up for the rest!
Your meal at Artist Point begins with some delicious bread and butter! You will also get to ask questions about the menu and interact with your excellent server. On our visit to Artist Point, our server even provided a different spoon when he realized that the one we had had water spots!
Artist Point offers a great selection of appetizers, such as a selection of cheeses, Mussels, a crab salad, and its famous Smoky Portobello Soup!
with potatoes, green beans, onions, and peppercorn butter! Yum!
Our server told us that the specific type of salmon being offered during our visit is only available for several weeks, as it is caught when the salmon is heading upstream.
Probably the most favorite side dish at Artist Point is their macaroni and cheese! It's the best mac n' cheese we have ever had! It's refined comfort food!
Artist Point's most famous dessert served with seasonal berries and Blackberry Ice Cream. It's amazing!
Overall, our Artist Point experience was definitely a positive one. The food was delicious, the service fantastic, and it's definitely a way to dine in luxury. It's an elegant American restuarant, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. However, we doubt that young kids would enjoy it as much as adults. Therefore, make this a dining spot for you and your spouse, friends, or older teens and children.
