Packing
Deciding what to pack is a major part of planning and preparing for your WDW vacation. Your trip will be much more enjoyable knowing that you have all you need; and careful packing can actually save you money in the long run. Also, be aware that Florida's temperatures aren't always as predictable as you might think, and neither is the weather. It's not unusual for a warm, sunny day to suddenly erupt into a heavy rain shower, or for a balmy, fall afternoon to drop to chilly temperatures after sundown!
The Royal Suitcase
1. Shoes-We recommend comfortable, broken-in shoes, preferably 2 pairs. Water rides or getting caught in the rain can result in the need for a second pair.
2. Sweatshirt/Light Jacket-Bring one for every member of your family. Even on the hottest of days, cold blasts of air-conditioning in a restaurant or getting drenched on a water ride can leave one chilled. Believe me, you'll be glad you did!
3. Swimsuit
4. Laundry detergent/dryer sheets-3 in 1 Sheets (Detergent/Fabric softener/Dryer sheet all in one) are great space savers and easy to haul to the laundromat at the resort. Stain sticks also come in handy.
5. T-shirts, tank tops, and shorts are a must!
6. Jeans or Comfy Pants-Just in case of a "cool down" or if you are visiting in the fall, winter, or early spring.
7. Hat- We always pack a hat. Burnt scalps can happen; and women, you will be glad to have a back up plan if Florida rain, humidity, or a ride on Rock n' Roller Coaster cause you to have a bad hair day.
8. Water Shoes-The pavement around the pools and at the water parks can be really hot and painful! Be sure to pack water shoes for everyone in the family, especially if you're visiting Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach.
9. Sunglasses-This item should be a packing staple for those visiting WDW. Don't spend your vacation squinting in the Florida sun, enjoy the sights and details around you and p

Packing For The Parks
Roaming the World Bag
When you're at the parks, you are going to need a bag. Instead of packing a cumbersome backpack or carrying around a purse, I suggest a drawstring knapsack. They are closed so you don't have to worry about losing anything. They are also lightweight and hold everything you need and more.
*NOTE* Bags checks are performed before entering any park and are located before the ticket turnstiles, so have your bags open and ready for inspection. It will make your trip through inspection much quicker. Also have your tickets out and ready so you can make that dash to the fast pass machine!
Park Necessities:
1. Rain ponchos

5. Sunglasses for adults and children.
6. Sunscreen
